sunday 25

weird sunday man, after my morning activities, suppose to meet friends for a birthday lunch with jo aka birthday girl and heng aka birthday boi.(waiting for pic 1) But the timing when i m done with my morning activities is neither here nor there. Thus i went back home, wanting to took a nap. . . . .. . . . . .. it was a pretty long one man, from afternoon till 7pm and i woke up with about 12 missed calls.

Kinda of blur and dazed feeling, my souls isnt complete man. Shortly after my dinner, took a cabbie down to east coast for the bbq - 13.6 fare. Prove tat east coast is rather far from where i stay. Usually my cab fare doesnt exceed 10 bucks on normal hours.

Its been a quite awhile since the last bbq, but I WANT the bacon!!! darn those who ate so much bacon. I only gotten one of the last 3 pieces left. Out of the hmm abt 30 ppl i only managed to remember a few new faces (its a guild outing - World of warcraft, knights of the vanguard) and talked to a few of them. Took some pics before we left for another place. (waiting for pic 2)

Ok ard midnight, landed up in HKcafe to welcome my ryuichi san back from Bath. Didnt chat much with him man, we were both sitting at the ends of the long table. And we were shouting across 2 persons between us hahHa. Oh he's holding my dream phone man - nokia 8800,

but its just way out of my budget to spend that amount on phones for now. Hey where's all the travelling pics dude.(waiting for pic 3)

Will worldcup be a good excuse for tml morning ? haha

Condo 70

There's a couple in this city who just strike the 10 million lottery. They always wanted to have a penn house to be build on the 70th storey high condo. Finally the day has come for them to make the purchase with the winnings. After 2 years of waiting, the penn house is complete and the official give them a ring and made an appointment for them to view the penn house.

Happyily, they went to purchase some fruits, joss stick, clothes, brush and cleaning agents for the new penn house. They drove a short ride to their condo area and visited the security guard house to collect the keys for their penn house. Upon reaching the lift, they saw the notice, "lift under service". They were like arghh, do we still go up and take a look but its 70 storey say the wife. The husband encourage his wife c'mon lets go since we are already here.

After reach the 10th storey, the wife start saying "i m tired". But they still carry on. When they reach 20th storey, the wife start grumbling with emotion and body langauge wanting to take a break. But husband been keen and motivate to view their penn house, encouraged his wife to continue. At 30th storey, the wife really cant take it, insisted on having a break to relax the load a little. Its just too heavy on me. Husband feel somewhat similar too and decide " lets leave our loads here and collect it later after we are done. Their mood and morale become better after unloading all their stuffs. Reaching 40th storey is almost the threshold for the wife, the husband feel tired too but they told each other now we are at the half way mark, not too far high up neither too far down. Lets carry on with it. At 50th storey, blaming and quarreling started between the couple. "why did you choose to climb up at the first place, there always another day", "I could be at home now doing the things i want". Reaching 60th storey, gunpower level become higher for the wife. The husband took a deep breath and replied, "Alright dear, lets calm down its just 10 more storey". FINALLY they reached 70th, their feelings were at the highest peak, hugging each other, YEAH!! we make it. They walked up the door and waited. After a few seconds they turn over and look at each other, "c'com, open the door ? " Their face suddenly turned long and sour!!! OMG where's the "KEY" ? its at 30th storey!!! place where they unloaded all their stuff.

Dreams are powerful skill that human possess. Lots of impossible started off with dreams, eg Light bulb, aeroplanes, cars. Everyone have their own dream, in the above story the couple can turn back and return for their key. But if it's a life stages, can you turn back time when you are 70s and look for your Dream - key ?

snail mails

Have you wonder why normal letters mail to ya letterbox are also call snail mails?

Reached home last night and saw a couple of letters on my desk. As usual, i will sort out those that look more urgent or gov related and leave bills to the last.

First one read, bound by "act bla bla ...." you are suppose to turn up for an interview on 20 jun 2006 between 0900hrs - 1300hrs with National service KINs unit. !!! Today is 20 Jun 2006, Darn those piloce admin clerks. The sent out date was 14 Jun 2006, wonder if its the snail mail or the ppl.

Anyway called the hotline stated in the letter this morning. In my mind, no point calling at 0900hrs plus, gurantee no reply. But i still wanna get it over my head, so i tried my luck. Called at a intervals of 15 minutes till around 11am, i feel something is wrong. I went to check the webby for alternative contacts. !!!OMG Darn those ppl X 2, the number on the letter isn't reflected on the website but 3 other different numbers.

Finally got someone to sort things out, he's gonna setup a rather big unit this round and they need high potential inspector to lead the unit. I was like too early for lunch curry flavouring ? In the end, the unit is much bigger than other units because it's suppose to provide 'additional' manpower to other units. Darn those ppl X 3, now i m spare tyres

Banks

What's the first thing that come across your mind when you see that word?

$$$$ Yeah you are right, i m one of them.

Its a place where most people put their earnings in safe keeping, transaction, loans, e-commences, cards, finanical accessibility and many others which i have yet to find out. So what's the service(s) you would use provided by your bank? Even before that which bank did you choose ?

What are your consideration points for selecting the bank to open an account ?
1)Interest rate ? depends on what kind of account you have. I did some research sometime back, for the basic bank account, comparing banks : HSBC,DBS,OCBC,UOB,Standard Charted. Out of the above stated, Standard Charted 'e saver' offer the highest 1.88% => http://www.standardchartered.com.sg/cb/deposit/dep_esaver_ac.html

You may think, "why bother, its just 0.XXX different", i will leave that answer for you to find out.

PS : Just found out that citibank, you need at least $5k to open a citibank saving account.

2)Accessibility ? Can you find ATM or the bank center when you need them ? And the queuing rate.
3)Offer/privileges ?
4)Online services and their security ? Have been using DBS and OCBC online banking services, quite pleasant so far. But would like to try Citibank, got a good feedback from a friend.
5)Attractive bank tellers ? haha better not the queue will be so long!!!

OMG, i justed recalled i havent update my bank books for like 3 years since i started to use internet banking frequently.

Just imagine a world without banks............what will you see, hear, feel ? You might want to voice your imagination over at my tag board. Its kinda of empty for weeks that i thought that the codes are buggy thus nobody can post.

Tears

Have you ever cry before ?
Most people would be a 'yes' for events, people, relationship, loss etc

On my granny funeral, one of my uncle ask me if i shred any tears ? I was like ...., does it implies that you are more sad or filial when you cry ? I m emotionally sad that i m not able to visit granny while i have the chance. Had to sorrow that regretful feeling during the last moment whereby her coffin was sealed. Tones of stuff going through my mind, there's lots of chances and opp tat ppl miss when they have the option to make a choice. When our love ones are gone, then we learn to appreciate but its too late.

But my relationship ties with my cousins got better during the funeral as everyone committed their time to go down the funeral wake. I reflected back again, i went down almost every single day last week but what's hindering from doing so in the past ?

PS: I want to be a 3D person, determine the list of tasks, decide on the priority, do it.

Shit happens

As usual on the way to work, heavy downpour outside. Armed myself with an umberlla and journey to office.

What would you do normally when crossing traffic junction, Correct WAIT for green man. A gentle push on the traffic light button and boooooooomm SPLASH!!! !@#%%^ 98% of my shirt and pants are wet. DAMN tat bus driver. The anger meter almost burst.

U-turn and went back for a quick blow dry. 2nd attempt to cross that junction. Precaution taken due to previous experience, make it through well and good this round. BUT halfway walking to the MRT station 90% of my pants is drenched, the feeling was ARGHHHH fark it, Move On.

Feelings to rain will be different depending on location.
Outside + battling with the rain = Careful dun slip off
Indoor + cozy bed with qulit cover hugging ya love ones = let time pause

Granny - Regret

Things just happen before you know it.

On Monday, granny sky dive off the kitchen window and died. It was worst than shocked the moment i heard the news from my bro, BLANK.

Lately, she has been telling my mum that she saw those 'old' uncles and auntie appearing and talking to her. She's having hallucination but what caused it was unknown. But some chinese superstitious believe that its time for the living to enter the other world when you start seeing image of those already dead.

It could be the difficult and demanding treatment she got from my great grandma and perhaps other factors. Sadly, i m not really close to those relative on my mum side thus i know little.

About 3 weeks ago, i got to know the news that granny state of mind is unstable. My uncles bought her for doctor consultation (western and chinese sensei)and even those median but progess of her condition seem slow. I decided to visit her during one of the weekends. Somehow i did put it to priority and have been delaying my visit.

The long delayed visit finally been done yesterday, but it was heart-aching. I can only watched her peaceful face sliently from the side of her coffin. Physically she's so near but actually it's so far. In my mind, "WHY DIDNT I TURN UP EARLIER".

There's millions or even billions of tasks in life, majors and minors co-exist. Do not let those minor task delay or obstruct your major item. Even for major item, they can be catergorize under 1)urgent not important 2) important not urgent 3)urgent and important. Set your priority accordingly and ACT!!
